ClearOceans proud to sponsor Racing Extinction screening in Bali
Back in December, the ClearOceans team was proud to team up with a group of conservation heavyweights to sponsor an exclusive screening of Racing Extinction. Along with Potato Head, Indonesian Manta Project, Vulcan, Ocean Preservation Society, Discovery and Sea Soldiers, we organised a phenomenal event that was attended by hundreds of people, and two of the main activists in the film, Shawn Heinrichs (who is also a ClearOceans Advocate) and Paul Hilton.
The film tackles two of biggest problems – climate change and the illegal wildlife trade – that are driving the potential loss of half of all species by the end of the century. It’s hard hitting and emotional – but it’s real. We are the generations that have to stand up and make a difference or face some very difficult questions from the next generation.
The overriding message in the film is Start With 1 Thing. In a world where there are so many causes to care for, so many problems to solve, it can feel overwhelming. But we cannot let that stop us. Even if we start by making small changes, we can make a difference and the knock on effect will be felt far and wide. Don’t believe you can’t make a difference. It’s not too late. Choose what you care for, protect it, adore it, tell everyone about it…you never know what might happen.
